"israel went out of its way not to fight hizballah.that was when the hizb called israel a paper tiger." - hussain The taunts were meaningless. Olmert was foolish enough to prove it. "israel would never never pursue a needless war" - Hussain It just did. Israel did not have to bomb dairy farms and vegetable stands in northern Lebanon to fight Hizbollah. Instead of pounding Hizbollah in the south, hard, fast and with intent to root out it's short ranged rocket capability, Israel sought to fight a war against all of Lebanon from the safety of the air. The war failed to achieve any of it's goals. Hizbollah was able to keep raining rockets on Israel to the bitter end. It was an unnecessary war with great loss of civilian life, moderate casualties inflicted on Hizbollah and wasted casualties inflicted upon Israelis. Anyone who thinks starting a war because some a-holes call you names is justified needs to think about what human life is worth.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin, February 16, 2016.

If Merkel also criticizes Israel, life is not a piece of cremeschnitte

The Israeli reaction to Der Spiegel's report on the German chancellor's frustration with Netanyahu was ridiculous, even Orwellian; as if Israelis were aliens who had just landed from another planet.

Boycott is the only way to stop the Israeli occupation

Aluf Benn's proposal for Israel's left to establish a base of domestic support for its positions is hopeless considering the brainwashing and increasing extremism of our society.
