Jerusalem is a sticking point for both Israel and the Palestinians. The return of refugees (so too should all the Jewish refugees from Arab countries be allowed to return) is not viable because it would tip the balance of voters within Israel. Compensation will have to take its place. The International precedent for the return of refugees and compensation is an extremely poor record. Massacres, expulsions, refugees fleeing due to war. Of all those that have taken place in the past 100 years how many have been repatriated or compensated?? Therefore there is a long list ahead of the Palestinians to have justice served.
