Agree that US will veto in the SC and that there is a call within the US to cut off funds to PA. But, aid is never freely given and the payback for receiving aid is compliance to the donor's agenda. I'm not sure that cooler heads in the State Dept will want to give up US influence with the Palestinians. But if aid is cut, yes, it will create short term hardship for the Palestinians but, on the up-side, it exposes US blind support for Israel and allows greater political independence for the Palestinians. After all of these years of continued occupation with Israel creating facts on the ground via settlements in the W/B under the auspices of US brokered peace talks, just what do the Palestinians really have to lose? The Palestinians have shown their determination and guts over decades of oppression and vacuums are always filled up.
