I am not a Jew but a Christian. Nevertheless our institutions parallel each other in their treatment of variant and disparate theological interpretations. Without exception the establishment responds with rejection and suppression of any new or divers ideas. Why is it so hard for you to accept people that may interpret matters differently than yourself. I disagree with people all the time withour denigrating their character. I know many orthodox and reform Jews, here in the USA that accept each other in the same fashion; respect for each other's opinion regardless of agreement. Take the example of Rabbi Hillel who when asked to recite the Torah while standing on his head, said "Don't do anything to others that you wouldn't have done to yourself. The rest is commentary." We should all be so wise.
