Howdy Stephen; There is nothing "illegal" about an occupation provided that the occupying power honors its responsibilities to the civilian population as specified in the Fourth Geneva Convention. Israel is only required to withdraw from most (but not necessarily all) territory seized in 1967 when after the conditions (as contained in UNSCR 242) have been met. What "country" is Israel occupying? The Palestinian Territories have never been a country nor a part of one. The area is "disputed" or "contested" and you have no authority to prejudge the issue.
