Why this is important: Stéphane Hessel’s death has greatly moved a lot of people, due to the high respect that this man raised. We wish that Stéphane Hessel’s goal during his life should not be forgotten and should be recognized. Stéphane Hessel’s life shows that he is a great humanist, far beyond any political cleavage. During the Second World War, his brave fight with the “résistance”, his engagement for his country and for freedom, his fight for democracy and the Human Rights gave a real meaning to the word citizenship. Stéphane Hessel’s message, his call for indignation, his refusal for any kind of injustice has to be part of our common heritage. We ask the president of the French Republic, Monsieur François Hollande, that Stéphnane Hessel should enter the Pantheon, so that the Republic, and far beyond, the entire World, could honor his fights. Indignation should enter the Pantheon. Please sign in at : http://www.avaaz.org/fr/petition/Stephane_Hessel_au_Pantheon_1/?tkJzleb
