State to State negotiations over borders may be more productive, once Palestine exists with its own armed forces and its own separate monetary system and its own taxation system. Once the Nature of Palestine is decided by the Palestinians, without Israel having a say-so, there will be less to discuss. Who knows if Israel can maintain its current government even for another year, especially if nobody gives them a reason for war? Tom Friedman's idea may just be the thing.
