A quick look at the 1947 UN Partition Resolution plan shows that the area of the West Bank, including Be'er Sheva in the south, was planned to be included in the proposed Arab state. The ILA claims this land is "on what had been state land since the time of Ottoman rule". Does the ILA mean that this land was Yishuv property since Ottoman times (i.e before WW1?) and since May 1948, state land? In which case the Bedouins are 'squatters'?
