    I don't know a whole lot about Israeli start-ups, but I do know something about those in the US,. Perhaps being a member of an elite unit in the IDF gets you somewhere, but without an engineering background, education, and experience, you won't get far. Gordon Moore who was a founder of Intel and Fairchild commented that no one in his crowd set out to become rich. Rather they set out to make a technical mark and RUN the company they way they saw fit.
