That is so much discussed on Russian forums that they started to call it "mozgojebstvo," which is unpolite for 'sexual intercurse with brains.' Actually, 'dzhuga' means nothing in Georgian while 'shvili' is 'son'. So Dzhugashvili is just "son of Dzhuga." But in Ossetian, an indoiranian language spoken in Caucasia, 'dzhuga' is animal 'pack' or 'stock'. Stalin's paternal line comes from Ossetia.
