The first time that the term Tikkun is used in Jewish tradition is in the prayer that closes the service. "To establish a world where the Almighty reigns, and . . ." The problem with Tikkun, and Mr. Lerner, and his agenda is that they fail to understand that the establishment of the a world like that is the result of hard work on our inner selves. Once we have that fixed, then we can go out do something. Rushing out into the real world imagining you have all the answers, as Goldstone, Lerner, and many of the laureates of the prize he has just recieved is jumping the gun a little. As we saw with Goldstone, he leaped forward, fell down, and admitted that his information might have been biased. Any God-Fearing man who was confronted with evidence that might be "incorrect" would have stepped back and told Mr. Lerner, no thanks, but I made some mistakes along the way--he didn't!
