Not long ago, I was seated next to an older Orthodox woman on a flight from Tel Aviv to Philly. For much of the trip she slept leaning into my space and my body. After I finally fell asleep, I was awakened by a man across the aisle poking me in the shoulder. An American Jew, he proudly explained. "This lady needs to go to the loo. Could you please let her out. She'd tell you herself but she can't touch you or speak to you." I replied. "Funny, she's had her head on my shoulder all night and her hands keep landing in my lap." He wasn't amused.
