I did not write my usual long comment about Mr. Gigeon Levy's, this time. I am afraid that though it is against my pure instinct, I still suspect that Levy is a "Jewish NationalisT".Unlike A.B. Yehushua, he is not concerned about the debat of the Zionist movement and its final resolution, versus the Jewish heritage in or outside of Israel. For Gideon Levy, the Love of the Jewish tradition is thinly disguised.I know, lot of contributors to this or other Talkback will rile for assuming such temerarious motivation on the part of Levy. Only on this assumption that one can explain his complete recklessness, one would attempt to admit, in criticising the life in Israel, from his ideoligical point of view as a Jewish -underlining the Jewish-Nationalism. His is a romantic person a la Byron, trying to protect and create a new society, while ressurecting something whis=ch is hard to ressurect, because it never existed, a Palistinian State. You made allusion to the Boycott in the next few days: I have contributing in my own way to the debate, here and somewhere else: it is an international project of some Palistinian sympathisants, USA and Canada. I am trying to fight, like you, one battle at a time, without hurting too many feelings. Again, I would like to finish by using the same quote I used in a previous occasion: Abraham LIncoln:" Idefeat my enemeies by being kind (understanding) to them".

Among Israel-minded voters, Sanders would get the J Street vote, Bloomberg would garner AIPAC’s and Trump would scrounge for leftovers.00:50 12.02.16 | 0 comments

We leftists whine and complain, we only talk about how bleak and hopeless life is in Israel. We alienate all those Israelis whose support we need to bring political change.21:35 11.02.16 | 0 comments
