Muslims in the village of Al-Kosheh Egypt about 7 years ago, attacks on Coptic businesses, abductions of Coptic girls by Muslims, jailing of converts to Christianity and numerous other incidents have to do with Islam not democracy. Someone needs to speak for them as well as for the indigenous Black people of Darfur that you are trying very hard to avoid. It has to do with the culture of violence in the Middle East where Islam is the main culprit and this why there should not be an isolated discussion otherwise it will be of no use. You do not want to call yourself an Arab but this is exactly what Arabs do, singling out one atrocity allegedly done by someone else so that they do not need to be held accountable for their own faults and root causes of conflicts, and to prevent making changes in the Arab and Muslim societies. Without such an open, honest and comprehensive discussion putting everything on the table there is no hope for finding solutions for anything in the Middle East.
