Most people in the West are more concerned with feeding their families and heating their homes than they are with Palestine and Israel. Most couldn't point to the ME on a map and few could point to their own country. In truth we are totally fed up with Immigration which is now out of control, so we are vulnerable to the far right who are currently vilifying Muslims, the Burqa etc...there aren't enough Jews to hate, so we have thus far escaped the bigotry and Racism that is invading our countries. That's how it is here in Britain. We look at Syria and Egypt, Afghanistan and Iraq, Pakistan and Somalia, Afghanistan and Sudan, Sri Lanka, and Lebanon and just wish we didn't have to look at the pornographic images of dead children 24/7 . Islam has not endeared itself to us when all we hear is Alahu Akhba before more innocent civilians are blown apart. Palestine is an extension of this and we've had enough.....leave them to it. Both Israelis and Palestinians will never make Peace...they are too alike.

from the article: It must be asked: What if the peace talks fail?
