and anyway, your comparison is no comparison. Yes, Israeli Arabs should learn Hebrew (and these students have chosen to come to a Hebrew speaking school)...but why must they sacrifice their mother tongue? If it were part of a teaching effort, it must be done in a positive and accepting way. In light (or in the shadow) of recent public remarks in Israel about Arabs in general I can understand the feelings of these Arab students.
