Religious schools have the same lack of discipline as secular ones. You don't seen what I see as ESL teacher trainer in the south. Horrible behavior on the students' part: kids in high school sneaking out to smoke, girls rolling up their skirts upon exiting the school and flirting with the guards, boys & girls cursing the teacher, throwing tantrums, yelling, storming out of class in anger, running down the halls... the works. Teachers, totally underpaid & not respected by students and many parents, do their best but are frustrated at every turn. Try teaching classes of 30+ (usually 37+ in secular schools) with non-readers sitting with native English speakers in the same class. Teachers are human & I can totally understand "Benny's" reaction. Don't knock him unless you've been in his shoes, and frankly, you should be tickled pink that you haven't.
