    Despite being heavily outnumbered and outgunned by the American-supplied Iraqi army, Iran posted a resounding victory over Iraq, who, after nearly 10 long years of war, had to agree to an embarrasing withdrawl from Iran and even to a territorial concession! Iran did lose 500,000 people in the war, but, as is well-known, that is nothing for a people whose greatest wish is to die in service of Allah. The reason Saddam Hussein finally abandoned the war is because he realized that he would have to kill 10 million Iranian soliders to even make a dent in their morale. Even a madman like Saddam wasn't prepared to sacrifice millions of his own soldiers for a cause that would ultimately serve only America and Israel.
