First of all Mr. Levy, sonic booms do not kill people, they are merely a traumatic side effect of the powerful jet engine. I experienced sonic booms during the Iran-Iraq war when the Iraqis were bombing civilians. Yes they are freightening but I would much rather experience a sonic boom than a home made Qassam bombing my house. Secondly, which do you think is more traumatic the fear of suicide bombing or sonic booms? thirdly, I do not think the Israeli air force will spend enormous amount of money, which it does not have, on missions to solely create sonic booms and scare the population. The Israeli air force is the most feared entity of the Israeli army and they dont need to flex their muscle by sonic booms to inflict fear. Their reputation speaks for itself.
