Why would the IDF be allowed to do this while their country is still recovering from a brutal row with the United States? Is it because they don't care, or because the possibility of mass deportations is slim at best? I doubt the IDF has the political clout to actually pull through and deport these people. Is it just me, or does it seem like this article is more of an opinion piece than real news? This policy is unrealistic; the IDF is incapable of deporting tens of thousands of Palestinians without a war or some other event which would "justify" the expulsion.
