Right after the raid on the Marmara the Navy claimed that the ship was not disabled because it would have taken days to bring her to port. Now, the claim is that there was no safe way to disable the ship. This seems a fishy claim, also because a safe way is well known: Disable the motor and propeller by throwing a net or chain over it. The passengers could then have been evacuated by any ship in the sea, not necessarily Israeli, and goodbye. I am afraid this claim of the Navy will be the easiest to falsify and thus discredit the entire "internal IDF investigation". Needless to say, the facts that the soldiers were not trained to deal with hostile civilians is also remarkable and problematic.
