Moshav Margaliot was built on land which was part of the '7 Lebanese villages' transferred from the French mandate of Syria to the British mandate of Palestine in 1923 (in exchange for annexation of Golan Heights to the French Mandate). Hizbullah have called it occupied Lebanese territory and have vowed it will be returned. Sarid may disagree, and I would back him up, but he is on very shaky ground when he lectures others on what is and is not theres, when most of the Arab world, especially his Lebanese neighbors, consider his village to be a settlement.
