Is someone paying attention to who are the generals: 1. Maybe we should try to look for new commanders among people who started their IDF service outside sayyarot matkal(GS special forces) or Air Force, in other words not elitists pampered in the center of attention of the politicians, media and the public. 2. Does IDF has a policy at all to promote Artillery or Engineering corps, or other services officers to the upper echelon? 3. How do we train our commanders to spend their time not on TV, but leranign about the probable enemies' tactics, resources and capabilities? 4. Do we reward and officers' hard work and low profile? 5. Do we tell clearly to our chief of staff and his assitants, that their reward is the country's security, not future MK and ministerial jobs? Are we prepared to stop allowing the retired generals into politics? It seems they are busy now looking for a suitable party list, not fighting Hisbullah...
