First, did this census count those Jews living in the occupied territories and its colonies? Judaism is not a race. It is a religion with its own Scriputres that gives a history to a people called the Jews. Semitic is a linguistic category not an ethnic or racial one. The Jewish people have an intimate and historic connexion to the Holy Land and that refers to all Jews today, whether their descendants lived in Hebron in the 3rd century or if they were converets from the Khazars. Arabs have a deep connexion to the Holy Land as well since they have lived ther since time immemorial and they have lived there during every period of history in which Jews lived on the land. The concept of the Jewish PEOPLEHOOD has often descended into a racialist mentality as we see in Israel today with these cave rabbis and their rebbitzens and all their supporters who see the Sinaitic Covenant as giving them privileges that make them superior and better species of humanity. This is not Judasim. It is idolatry.

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
