If the Israeli Jews have reasonable claim to the title of land they are on, and they wish to stay, they should be allowed to, and part of the upcoming negotiations should be to reasonably assure the rights of minorities, including Jews, just as the rights of Arabs in Israel should be guaranteed. (better than in fact they seem to be honoured at present). In both cases it would actually be healthy to have a more secular and cosmoplitan view of the world, than an extreme single religion. Whether in fact many of the settlers will want to stay, time will tell- and it is difficult to judge from afar.
