The Green line went through the village of Beit Safafa before 1967, leaving three-quarters in Jordan and one quarter in Israel. The road thus far is cutting through the Israeli part, but will eventually cut through the rest. This will not be an "apartheid" road, but for the use of all, including the residents of Beit Safafa. The problem is that they were not given their legal opportunity to weigh in before the construction began. This is the original sin in this case.
