'In absolute numbers, Britain is second only to France in in Europe numbers of antisemitic incidents...' And it's probably second to France only in its Jewish population. It'd be strange if the number of 'anti-semitic' incidents wasn't correspondingly high. Then I threw the quotes around 'anti-semitic' advisedly; later on the piece manages to equate opposition to Israel with anti-semitism. This canard gets pretty annoying. Either redefine anti-semitism as a value-neutral term, don't include opposition to Israel under the heading, or admit that all opposition to Israel is ipso facto immoral. Finally the piece speaks of 'tripling,' etc of various types of attacks. What does this mean? Did the numbers rise from one hundred to three hundred -- or from one to three? A very bad piece; there might well be something going on -- but if anything, this makes one suspect the opposite.
