    I think the solution is ultemately economic. If any faction or coelition of factions can improve economic conditions in the Occupied Territories, then and only then might enough Palestinians say: "We have too much to lose to dwell on our accumulated hatred." So long as Palestinians are reminded daily of the misery they live in, they'll continue to have nothing to lose, and most of them will pin their hopes on exhausting Israel some time in the far furure. Having said that, this is easier said than done. The economy cannot improve until the factional fighting stops. None of the factions have an economic stake in Gaza or the West Bank as they get most of their funds from outside donors. No faction will cut their economic lifeline to their outside donors until their domestic income vastly exceeds the funds from the donor states and organizations. Can Abu Mazen improve the economy to give Palestinians something to lose? Only time will tell?
