I'm usually quite the optimist, but an agreement that does away with Fayyad really does away with hope. He is the only Palestinian leader who has ever done anything constructive. Building schools and hospitals, creating a useful government infrastructure, even unilaterally declaring statehood. All this was useful. But now there will be no state, no UN recognition, no future. This makes no sense to me. Unless Hamas folds --their main supporter will be gone in 2 weeks, so they are very weak-- but why would Fayyad deal with these monsters now??? why??? They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity...
