I don't quite understand the position of the writer when it come to the alleged weapons that Hezbollah was to receive. Are they 'smuggled' or 'transferred'? There are different connotations involved. I think the right term would be transfer, as their is no need to smuggle because the Syrian government and hezbollah are both very transparent about the aim in terms of receiving and sending these weapons. Does America smuggle missiles and F16's to Israel? On a different point Netanyahu is a yahoo. He does not know what he is getting involved in. Once again the Israeli regime will be humiliated by its own hubris. Israel is already deeply involved in this conflict. It hospitalises the Jihadists. It is complicit in this enterprise. Only a foolish person would think otherwise and alas most of the media is dictated by myopic fools. There are of course exceptions. Israel in its own desperation has been planning the desctruction of Syria for years, in fact perhaps right after they were deafeated in 2006. It cannot directly attack Syria because that would mean war and Israel in its cowardice does not fight wars mano e mano. It uses planes, and claims military power for the air. That's all it knows how to do. What is sought in Syria is not regime change but rather a failed state where certain groups roam which can be squeezed. It is as was sought in Iraq and is being implemented in Libya. But they will fail as is apparent from the recent wins for the Assad government which is becomes more popular due to its steadfastness amongst Arabs and the wider Muslim world. The reality is most the would knows the truth about America and the US and if historty teaches us anything these countries have reached their use by date.
