The EU is usually pathetically incapable of getting its act together on foreign policy. So many different nations with so many different priorities, the EU finds it hard to do anything but shamble along behind the US. Having said that, these are proud nations. How do you think Lieberman's comments will play in France and Spain? Eventually even the EU may lumber into action, and if it does, Israel won't be able to stop it.
