The fact that it was the UN which went out to inquire the Hariri murder, not Israel, does not bother Barel of blaming the Israeli government for everything bad prone to happen. And what is the rational? If we keep quiet about the fact that Hizbollah assassinated Hariri, then things will remain "stable"? And, of course, Barel irrationally accepts the claim that if accused Hizbollah necessarily and magicallyhas no alternative than to trigger civil war. Why that? Why shouldn't Hizbollah just dismiss the charges and embrace Hariri jr. (jr. is obviously willing to embrace them back)? If Hizbollah causes violence, then they will do so, whether they use the report as an excuse or something else. To pretend that keeping mum about crimes can promote peace and stability is ridiculous. Does Barel also suggest that we should not upset the settlers to avoid disturbing stability?
