Let us assume that Ms. Shtrasler is correct, and the Israeli goverment did hinder Palestinian economic development to reduce competition with Israel businesses. Even so, what have the Palestinians done since Arafat took over in 1994 in the West Bank and Gaza? They prepared for and made a war against Israel to destroy it. They didn't use international aid to build factories, new schools, hospitals, roads, etc -- they bought weapons. The Palestinians have noone to blame but themselves. Writings like those of the authors only encourage the Palestinians to hope they can destroy Israel from within, if not from without.
