Mark is perfectly correct. Of course Israel has no 'duty', apart from the moral one, but by that argument neither has anyone else. Yes Iran is attempting to quire them by stealth, but it's no more than what Israel did in the 1950's. True, studied ambiguity does provide deterrence but it does not place the country on the moral high ground. Regarding the "murderous, bloodthirsty and delusional states", it wouldn't be hard to argue that it applied just as much, if not more, to Israel as any other country in the 'community'. Its record in this respect is less than admirable. However, what I'd like to add is, from a personal viewpoint, though I'd rather have a world without any WMDs, if I had to choose between Israel and Iran, my choice would quite firmly be with the latter. The presumption of democracy apart, my blood curdles at the thought of Mullahs on the button. Peace to all.
