I see many remonstrating Turkey for their treatment of the Kurds. They seem to equate the treatment of Kurds by Turks with the treatment of Palestinians by Israel. This is not really equivalent. I agree that the Turkish approach to the Kurds could be more enlightened, and note that it has grown much more liberal in the last decade. Still, Kurds are Turkish citizens and may vote. Thus the question might better be why doesn't Israel treat the Palestinians as well as Turkey treats it's Kurds.
