The only US leaders who put pressure on Mubarak to reform democratically were Bush and Rice. They were ridiculed by the liberal "realists", with their Lawrence of Arabia complex. Recently the liberal idealists (Samantha Powers) took over. But astonnshingly, while the White House called immediately for Mubarak (the more "enlightened" dictator) to go home, nobody in the White House uttered this clearly in Gaddhafi's case. Not even after he spray-shooted, apocalypse-now style, demonstrators from helicopters. The US is just "deploring the violence". So spare us the hypocrisy about Israeli leaders.
