    Since abbas took over the pa Israel has made repeated "concessions" and good will gestures to shore him up. If indeed he is so weak then he is NOT the person to be at the negotiating table. It is obvious that even if he wanted abbas can not deliver peace on any terms.Then there is the problem that legally abbas has no authority to bind the pa.
