Bush came out and said it, there's a credibility gap that has to be closed and we will see over what went wrong for the intelligence to be so wrong/distorted. Now if Israel instead of doing the same tries to cover up and keep on insisting that their intelligence information was indeed right then one can understand why all the Israeli intelligence regarding Syria and Iran is being laughed at. Once burned, twice shy as the saying goes. Can anybody imagine the President of America quoting Israeli Intelligence assessements ever again? This "we didn't feed you false information, because we still believe in it" isn't going to fool to many. At least not Bush that has come out and admitted that he relied on false information, some of it Israeli. How supported was this information by the neo-cons and how hard did they push for it to be taken as true?
