There is nothing that Netanyahu is doing which is substantially different from past Israeli governments. Settlements in the W/B, Jewish only roads, checkpoints, a determination to engage in pretend peace talks etc are not new. If Netanyahu disappeared tomorrow, do you really think there would be any change for the better in Israel? It is Zionism that is the problem - Israel as a Jewish state on land which was predominantly the ancestral land of non-Jews has only way to go. It is inevitable that Israel will continue on its way to becoming an intolerant military theocracy unable to attract or retain Jews who are educated and want to live in a democracy where individual rights have some protection. Netanyahu is the least of Israel's problems.
