There's always more to say. It's completely unacceptable that Israel's adversaries continue to challenge Judaism, because that's basically what it is. Israel represents not only the source of the united Judea and Israel during King David's period, but that Judaism, a monotheistic religion whose origin is based over 5000 years ago, was part and parcel of our national origins. Akin to the nation of Israel is its religious character of Judaism which is expressed with its culture, customs, education, Hebrew language, rituals, etc. Hasn't the centuries of persecution of Jewry justified the presence of a small Jewish State in the Middle East - it's neighbourhood before Islam and Christianity since time immemorial? It's not the Nobel prizes or optimizing religion, it's the people of Israel and our tragic history, a people who deserve recognition for their survival unlike any other nation of the world, and in having made contributions to humanity unlike any other nation of the world, which must be reckoned with. It's futile to displace the religious and nationalistic connotation when it comes to recognizing the State of Israel. Chaval al hazman!
