Shimon dearest - lots of people, including many jews believe that the temple issue is about letting sleeping dogs lie. Who needs that old anachronistic symbol of primitive zealotry? wasn't that a place where innocent and helpless animals were murdered and bled painfully to death in some kind of worship of a god that only liked its own people, and obviously didn't much care for the rest of its kingdom? I never understood what was so great about the old temple anyways. Or any of the other edifices humans built as a testament to their own vanity and false pride everywhere (vatican included, though it does have some good paintings of some madonna stuff with an overly chubby baby everywhere). There is a very stron possibility in fact that you shimon and the other incessantly praying zealots (including the taliban everywhere) are wrong about god (your own included) and that said god, assuming there is such a thing, considers the temple a blasphemy Or, worse, a waste of time and resources, it being a very just god). may be you have misinterpreted the reasons why two temples were destroyed. Could it have been your hubris? or could it be that god didn't really like the way so many animals were slaughtered for nothing? I always wondered why it is considered a good thing to kill defensless creatures so that the killer will carry favor?
