"Can you even call the ones in Sderot "civilians" when all Israelis are required to be trained and serve in the military? This remark of yours is reminiscent of a subtle and sinister verbal allusion pulled by the media, which is all too familiar to us from the last war. All Lebanese civilians were referred to as "civilians", while all Israeli civilian casualties were referred to as "Israelis" because evidently, all of us are soldiers here, and therefore are fair game. Does that include children who have not yet served in the military, or elderly people who perhaps served 40 years ago, or are they immune to this classification? Your claim is about as justified as calling all Palestinians, including women and children, "militants".
