That is such a load of rubbish. Remind me, does Resolution 242 not clearly require the: "withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict"? It would appear to me that Israel has ridden roughshod over the Resolution since 1967, so please don't talk to us about the Palestinians "turning their backs" on it. The Resolution also calls for the "land for peace" formula - but Israel has already sabotaged this by placing settlements, which it refuses to uproot, even in the face of negotiations and an eventual agreement, in the middle of the territory that its forces are illegally occupying.
