No government forced or coerced any current resident of the region to move after Israel was established in 1948. It was only when the surrounding Arab nations banded together to attack the new country that it was suggested, by the attacking nations, to the Arabs living in the area to "leave for now, then come back after the Jews are pushed into the sea." I do not consider it a terrorist act to drop warning leaflets in neighborhoods that are about to be searched for terrorists. I do not consider it a terrorist act to demand that indiscriminate rocketing be stopped, and I support every effort made by any government to stop such attacks. I certainly don’t apply the word “terrorist” to an operation for which clear and ample warning was provided, and for which the militants on board the Mavi Mamara were clearly prepared and eager to escalate into a violent confrontation. I use the term "terrorist" to refer to anyone who straps a bomb to their child's chest and convinces him or her to march into a shopping center and detonate the bomb where it will kill as many non-combatants as possible. I use that term to define anyone who broadcasts childrens' television shows that praise such acts and mourn the failed bomber (and thousands of saved lives). There is absolutely no excuse for this, and there is no label for this behavior more appropriate than "child abuse." Where is your outrage at the Palestinian parents, Shawn? How can you not hold them and their "elected" officials culpable? Can you imagine what public television in the US would be like if Sesame Street advocated killing as does the programming produced by the PA? Abbas himself has admitted, quite recently, that this is happening, but has done little to stanch the flow!
