I am reminded of the scuttlebutt that I heard from an army acquaintance that served with Sharon in the Chinese Farm area during the 1973 war regarding how he got his head wound. Referring to the famous photo of Sharon's bandaged head, he related that Sharon, panicked by a shell that landed fairly far away, dove headlong into a roadside ditch and scraped his head. The bandage was used as a prop to further his heroic mystic when in fact, it could be easily construed as an act of personal cowardice. I have never read or heard anymore than that about the incident, and don't really know if it in fact occurred. But it would be in keeping with Sharon's reputation as a manipulator and bully, a man not averse to sacrificing others in his quest for glory. May he continue to rest in peace. We are better off without him.
