I find it especially relevant Nadav's remark about Sharon playing with his grandchildren on his ranch. It is interesting that at the time that Sharon was being investigated and possible very soon after that indicted regarding his very fishy dealings on his acquiring his own very large estate, he decides to come up with a plan regarding expelling over 8,000, for the most part hard working and honest, residents from there much smaller and modest estates. It is more interesting that as soon as the left realized that he was actually serious about the plan then suddenly all their investigations of Sharon being a crook was played down. Once Sharon fell in line that did not at all matter. It did not matter that Sharon was elected a short time before on a platform that ridiculed the plan he was now advocating. It did not matter that Sharon was ignoring his Likud committee's vote(which he called for himself) rejecting the 'expulsion' plan. What does truth, democracy, civil rights matter to the left as long as you follow their ideology. The next time a person of the left persuasion screams in my face about democracy , civil rights ... I'll smile not say much (what can you say to Messianist Osloists - they are no different from the Stalinists of yore) and hand him a copy of '1984' by Orwell or maybe a copy 'Darkness at Noon' by Koestler. But that probably would be a waste of time too.
