Israel gets hords of credit for its democracy, one that is challenged on a minute to minute bases. If foreign funds coming into Israel to support human rights NGO were 'clean' this bill would not pass. I have far more trust in my government of Israel, than I do those governments, and foreign philanthropists, who insist that Israel exists within the same democratic environment as the United States, Canada or Greece. It does not. Israel has friends many; but its enemies are abundant and this is just one more front it needs to fight. NGOs, particularly human rights NGO, show their anti-Israel colors regularly. Durban is a fine example. Racist? I think not. Shameful? I believe it's called survival.
