Turkish officials estimate that 15,000 Syrian refugees are waiting on the Syrian side of the border, and expect up to 50,000 more.14:11 06.02.16 | 0 comments
Gilead Shalit's release it stymied by the high media exposure he causes in Israel. It strengthens Hammas in the sense that they believe because of the high Shalit publicity that they can make totally impossible demands against the Israeli government, who in turn always end up rejecting their terms. The government I believe have learned their lesson from the Shalit experience and have acted far more intelligently with the Rafael Haddad case. I support a total Israeli media black-out of the Shalit captivity, and hope that this will precipitate his safe release in the near future.
