    For those that have said there is no armed conflict, and those that ask by what authority I expressed my opinion, it is the San Remo Manual (link below). The San Remo Manual has been Israel's stated reason for why the blockade is legal. But the San Remo Manual rules of blockade is only valid if Israel and Gaza are in a Armed Conflict. So if your position is there is no armed conflict, you undermine Israel's excuses for the blockade. You rabid Israeli supporters can not have it both ways. Either there is an armed conflict or there is not. For those of you that have argued that Shalit is not a POW because he was captured on the Israel side of the Green Line, does that mean every French soldier captured in France during WW2 was not a POW? Let me remind you that Shalit was in a tank when captured, within a few hundred meters of the border and there was an active fire-fight going on between Gaza and Israeli forces at the time of capture.
