The "settlements" more aptly called towns, cities and kibbutzim have succeeded. People now live in vibrant communities where there was nothing at all. The myth of herding the arabs into ghettos is just that, a myth. Kfar Etzion didn't replace anything...Efrat didn't replace anything. They did what Israel always has done, built up the land, made something from nothing. Obstacles to peace?? Hardly. The obstacle to peace is that the arabs have consistanly shown their inability develop a vibrant growing self-sustaining society. The "settlers" have proven that with few resources, despite adversity, it can be done.
